Onion Ground Beef Noodles
How to make delicious Onion Ground Beef Noodles in just 10 minutes! Tender ground beef, sweet caramelized onions, and a rich savory sauce coat every strand of noodles. It’s quick, easy, and perfect for a busy weeknight dinner.Ingredients
1 onion, sliced
250g ground beef
250g dried noodles (or spaghetti)
4 cloves garlic, minced
Chopped green onions
Instructions
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cook the noodles for about 6 minutes, or 2 minutes less than the package directions. Drain and reserve some of the cooking water.
2. Heat a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef (no oil needed) and cook until it changes color. Remove from the pan, leaving the rendered fat behind.
3. Add the onion and cook until softened with lightly golden edges.
4. Reduce the heat to low. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
5. Return the ground beef to the pan. Add 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp oyster sauce, 1/4 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1/4 tsp dark soy sauce, 1/4 tsp sugar (optional), and 100ml of the noodle cooking water. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
6. Add the cooked noodles. If needed, add a little more noodle cooking water and toss until evenly coated.
7. Add the chopped green onions, toss to combine, and serve immediately.
