Black Pepper Crab is a bold and aromatic seafood dish popular in Southeast Asian cuisine. To prepare it, start by cleaning and cutting 1–2 fresh crabs into pieces. In a hot wok, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and sauté chopped garlic, ginger, and sliced onions until fragrant.

 Add crushed black peppercorns (about 2 tablespoons) and a splash of soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a touch of sugar.

Next, stir in the crab pieces and coat them well with the sauce. Add a little water or broth, cover, and let it simmer for about 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once the crab is fully cooked and coated in the thick peppery glaze, garnish with chopped green onions or coriander.

Serve immediately with steamed rice or mantou (Chinese buns). For extra heat, toss in sliced chilies. This dish delivers a spicy, savory punch with every bite.
